If you have ever felt a genuine, spontaneous moment of gratitude, you may have noticed how the unmistakable symptoms stay with you. It could be something as simple as watching a sunset that suddenly fills you with appreciation for an interjection of beauty into your otherwise busy, preoccupied day. Or maybe it is enjoying the bounty of a good meal that not only nourishes your body but also warms your soul. Perhaps it is receiving an act of unexpected kindness from another when you needed it most.
Whatever the moments of being grateful, they often make you want to savour them and let them linger…and… they influence the moments that follow too. After the spectacle of a stunning sunset, do you notice how much softer and perhaps quiet the world appears? Somehow it is easier to be at peace and you feel cleansed– like taking a deep breath and exhaling.
The great news about gratitude moments is you can find them everywhere throughout the day. The more you find, the more you attract, the more you attract, the greater your gratitude bank account becomes. You can literally grow your gratitude and as you do, gratitude grows you!
Every time we show gratitude for the millions of ways we are blessed daily, we send our energy into the unseen world of the Dream Weave, and those threads of gratitude strengthen our spiritual connections. The resulting fabric of trust and faith is the safety net that catches us when we go through the Dark Night of the Soul, protecting us against the internal enemy of victim thinking. ~ Jamie Sams
